We have hired bikes for three days so today we headed off with our picnic lunch to ride to Chateau Azey-le-Rideau. It was about 17km one way along the beautiful River L'Indre, the river that runs under the mill we are staying in, and it was a great ride. The chateau was well worth visiting. We stopped off at the home of the Balzac, the famous French novelist and playright, along the way. The Tour de France rode along this route in 1956. Elizabeth headed off to a chateau separately.
Dale has a fabulous watch that tracked our path along the ride. If you copy the link below into your web browser it will show you where we went and some photos.
